We are seeking an experienced sales assistant to provide administrative support to the business development department. Responsibilities will include assistance with preparation of responses to requests for proposals, change orders and client correspondence and presentations, maintaining document tracking systems, coordinating document distribution, maintaining client database and files, following up with client contacts, maintaining website and social media content, and event calendars and assisting with development of marketing materials. This position requires strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision and the ability to establish priorities. Candidate must be highly professional, able to provide excellent customer service and work well under pressure. We are looking for someone that is creative and able to work independently.
Requires BA/BS in business or life-sciences field, one year experience as a sales assistant or business development experience in a life sciences company, academic research institution or contract research organization. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Sales Force is also helpful but not required.
On-site work is required as well as travel to client offices, events and trade shows. This is a full time position. Background verifications are required after offer of employment and before employment begins.
